Our experience with our American Way Van & Storage and National Van Lines 2300-mile move was exceptional from beginning to end. It started with a home visit by Thomas of American Way. He clearly explained the moving process, helped us inventory out belongings and gave us helpful tips on effective packing. Later, he and Adam were both patient and understanding as we changed our minds several times about the details of our contract. Our National Van Lines driver, Marco, was amazing! He communicated clearly with us regarding the schedule and paperwork details, worked extremely hard loading and unloading our possessions and related with us in a way that was positive, personable and professional. We felt that he truly got to know us and cared about us, our possessions and our move. We watched in awe as he skillfully backed that giant truck down the long and winding driveway that leads to our condo clear in the back of the complex. The gentlemen who helped him load and unload the truck were also very hard-working professional movers who knew what they were doing. Together, the team assured that our possessions arrived at our new home unscathed. While we hope never to make a cross-country move again ourselves, to anyone planning to do so, we whole-heartedly say: "Choose American Way and National!"

American Way did a great job moving my mother-in-law’s furniture from her prior home to assisted living. They showed up on time, wrapped and boxed the tv and packed up her belongings quickly and efficiently. The guys were familiar with the assisted living facility we chose, and had nothing but good things to say about it, which made us feel a little better about the move. I interviewed two other movers and decided that American Way Van & Storage was who I wanted to to be in charge of my truck and household goods. I felt very comfortable with Thomas, who was patient and offered suggestions. He was available whenever I had questions ( I had a lot). I felt by the time the move came around that he was my friend. He always answered ( even when he was sick) his cell when I called. Everyone who I came in contact with during this move made me feel comfortable that I would get top service which I did. I would NOT hesitate to use American Way again. As a matter of fact my daughter is moving here in July 2024 and she has all the information to get in touch with Thomas . I’d like to save you some time with an honest review if you are considering American Way for a long distance move. They came in less expensive than Upack and Pods. Additionally, the cost of renting a U-Haul, Penske, or Enterprise truck was a little less but when you calculate the gas cost it’s about the same rate as American Way. Secondary to price the most important thing for me was honesty and trust and they really hit it out of the ballpark here. Thomas Van was our coordinator and took his time to create a full inventory of our house to give us an honest estimate. This is really important because hiring movers who give you an estimate without seeing what you have can easily up the price once they deliver and that just not a position anybody wants to be in. Thomas was straight forward, available to answer our questions quickly (I’m talking within a few minutes), and even gave us tips on what we can do to save time and money. He truly treated us as if we were his family with how kind, courteous, and thoughtful he was with everything. Dennis Snyder was our mover and went above and beyond what any mover I have ever dealt with has done. He did everything from check in with a call and text before coming, wrapped everything like it was faberge eggs, and continuously checked in until he got to our destination. He is one of those salt of the earth types who is just genuinely caring and wants to help as much as possible. At one point I pondered if Dennis was going to offer to set up our utilities for us too. I mean that is how much he did for us. We are incredibly grateful to have found American Way and really lucked out with Thomas and Dennis. I would highly recommend this company.

These movers were much better than the movers that I’ve hired in the past, and their price was fair. I could see that the guys were trying very hard to be careful not to ding my walls, and they didn’t. They had to take apart a large roll-top desk in order to get it upstairs where they reassembled it. Eric Wright is the truth. He checked in on us regularly and made sure we understood everything in the contract. He made us feel that it wasn't about the money at all but made us feel like family and that our move was smooth and stress free. It was hassle free and a great transition. I had a really great experience with National Van Lines/American Way Van & Storage. Their pricing was extremely competitive, and my sales rep, Eric, was terrific throughout the entire process. He was proactive in his communication, very transparent about where I could save money or secure discounts, and guided me from securing quotes all the way to when my belongings were delivered.I secured over 10 quotes from various moving companies as I tried to find the most value, but more importantly, the most confidence. I'll be honest, the moving industry is filled with scams, shady brokers, and wildly inconsistent and inaccurate pricing. Eric, and the entire company, made me feel like an actual human and worked with me, instead of making me feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. Their pricing was extremely fair, their service was professional and as advertised, and they were flexible and understanding even when I had to pivot delivery locations.I think we can all agree that moving is not a fun or enjoyable process. However, if I'm going to have to do it again, my first call will more than likely be to National Van Lines/American Way Van & Storage.

Great experience on our move from Ohio to Mississippi. Eric Wright was the only person to come out and do an in person inventory for our move. He followed up with us before we decided who to go with (only company that did this). Both his communication and explanation of the process were what led us to choose American Way. Our driver (Trey Foster) reached out 10 days before to give us the timeline. Loading in Ohio at 8am on a Tuesday and drop off in MS at 8am on Thursday. Right on time with both! Hats off to Eric and the entire team for making our move as smooth as possible!

I did a lot of research and read a lot of horror stories online about moving experiences. Then I came across an ad for National Van Lines, and they said to watch out for many of these companies and the things they do, including requiring a deposit upfront just to book with them - then you never see them again. National Van Lines promised to do none of those things and guarenteed it in writing. Also, no deposit or payment was required until the moving truck arrived to deliver our furniture. Our experience was flawless from the very beginning. Eric, their estimator, came to our house and did a detailed inventory of our belongings. He was very professional and very courteous. We felt in good hands with him and he did everything he said he would. The estimate was very reasonable , not overpriced at all. When it came time for the actual move, the company working with National Van Lines was Jet's Moving Company. Their truck arrived right on time and Tara - the owner of that company was very professional and very careful with all our stuff. We couldn't have been more pleased. I would recomend them in a heartbeat ! They arrived with our furniture the very day they said they would, and they unloaded everything with great care. The whole moving experience couldn't have gone better ! Nothing was broken or damaged ! Thank you National Van Lines, and thank you Tara and your staff for taking such good care of us

From the moment I contacted this company they were there with information and follow through that was above any customer service I have ever had. We had one piece of furniture that was being moved out of state. Madelyn was always available for any question. The two men who came to wrap the furniture called me to inform me that they were early, pleasant surprise, were very professional and friendly. My driver, Bobby, called me the day before to tell me his arrival time and he was spot on.
